So I was running around with a new guild mate last night and was asked the following (keeping in mind if it isn't rogue related I am oblivious) and figured I would try to get an answer for him.
He is wearing a full set of Grand Regent gear, but they all say 4/5 set, with two sets of gauntlets listed. One is the standard Grand Regent gauntlets he was wearing, and the fifth piece was Reinforced Grand Regent gauntlets. I am unaware of any ability to wear two sets of arms at the same time, so how does he go about getting his full set bonus?

Guild guys helped me out yesterday and told me my arms need to be reinforced with a level 20 profession and then it counts both items as the last piece in the set. I hope to run the caverns again today to get the grand regent arms that aren't bound to me and give them to someone who has the profession built up.

I have the unbound arms. If I could get with a guild member with lvl 20 platesmithing I'm looking for the greater defense armor kit. I have the dragon egg, some fundamentals, some plates, and by tomorrow I'll have the 50k astrals needed. I appreciate it.

I'm confused at reading parts of this thread. What do you mean by your arms need to be reinforced to count towards the set? Your arms are counted twice? Why do you need to pass on the pair of unbound arms to a platesmith, you can reinforce it yourself once the plate smith passes one on to you (besides I'm pretty sure reinforcing an item will bind it to the person). I'd like to meet up and inspect you, I'm not an expert or anything but have some experience in reinforcing, set bonuses etc.

I guess the question is can the greater hit points or defense kit be traded once made. If it can't then he needs the arm piece and if it can then I apply it in my inventory.

The kit can be traded directly or sent via mail once made.

Yeah, once created you can do whatever you wish with the armor kits, and anyone can apply them.
