Why does it seem like i'll be the only guy who will be solely healing and slight buffering my group?
The free respec will help me get rid of that glitched purpose soul or whatever.
That and I don't know if I should even see if I can get a belt of wisdom, or try for some other belt/set.

I wad guven the advice to go with the lathander stuff, and wait for the new artifact.
I am mostly heals, with debuff buff that heals, with shield. I do 0 damage ~ maybe a bit if i trip someone.
When i am alone, i swap shield for chains. I still keep healing word (for some reason. In case i want to help randoms out, really )

We still have several dedicated healers in the guild that are very good. With the upcoming expansion, they will return to some prominence since the dungeons will be harder again and people will need to stay inside those shields!
Play your DC the way you enjoy playing and let nobody tell you different, imo.

To answer the question in your title, I've always been a hybrid!
It suits my playstyle and the other great guildies I run with don't really need lots of healing...well some do as they run straight into a boss, or others are busy cleaning their rusty knives on my bloody cloak, naming no names.
However with the upcoming changes IMO pure healing builds will be more in demand...so I hope you've been practicing, the new content looks sweet!
And with more points to spend on feats it'll be interesting to see what people choose. I know where my points will be going!

I like being hybrid, it adds just a bit more to the cleric. But i would never go full DPS on her though. I think thats just odd, being a cleric and not healing.

I wish there was the option to have two builds available that you could switch back and forth, hell they could charge 5000 zen for it and I guarantee a lot of people would buy it! I hate being a full healing cleric when it comes time to do my dailies and anything that I do solo, I respec'd to a full DPS build for shits and giggles, it's kinda fun but once the new mod drops I'm going to spec to a hybrid (mostly healing) build.

I mean, hybrid is fun and all, but i've been in a few games with hybrid DC's and most of the time they never heal <_<
Or throw a shield (Sometimes) Throw a astral seal or something, something to give us a little bit of healing!
But yeah, guess i'll be looking for a lathanders belt if someone is willing to give me one from the guild vault, the cloak will never be gotten since I haven't done a successful tiamat on my dc lol
