I now have level 60 TR, HR, DC and CW (she still needs some purples, but she is quite fun to play.)
I have 4 tomes of xp and 2 slots, so it seems like a waste not to start one more toons, since the extra will go to a paladin.
So, which makes sense to choose?
GF - sounds like this (and my DC) could be covered by the paladin, and sounds a bit slow to level. GWF - sounds like they are nerfed now, but will get a boost in a few days SW - wizardy, so always a good time - lazers, beams, ghosts, darkness, etc. But have heard one of it's abilities is bugged (the left stick click one - could be wrong on that).
Anyway, I am leaning toward SW, but have always enjoyed the benefits of being with tanks - or HR's that pull all the adds and die, like mine always does As long as they are not on me, it is all good
Or should I just wait? (Feels like a waste not to use the x2 XP while it is up.)

I do not think your tomes will grant your companions double xp... I think Shadow And I tested it last week. But to be sure, only do one on your summoned companion and check before you run through all your tomes.

I have a GF and a INT TR to finish. The countdown is basically a countdown to elemental evil which in turn is counting down to me not being able to play it as I have a long work week starting tuesday. The most annoying thing is for the last month work has been dead, but please start picking up on tuesday. Yeah thats great.

The tomes will just get me closer to level 20 faster, where i get access to my purple mount (which sounds wrong, now that i have typed it.)
I do think you are right about the compainions and the normal character tomes, but x4 5,000 xp tomes will give me 40,000 xp. That should get me to level 18. The wiki shows total to 18 is 14,100 and i would be level 5 with 1,400 after the totorial. Only 2 levels of walking sloooooowwwwwwly to Sergeant Knox.

These last 2 weeks before EE pops I've been up to my eyeballs in work AND 2 bathroom remodels - bad timing on my part but a friend is helping us out so I guess I can't complain nor schedule it around a game update lol!! Good news EE will still be there when I'm done but it'll just take me longer than most ha! Irregardless enjoying the game.

I was able to get two toons up to 60 this week so now I have a GF, DC, HR, GWF, and CW all maxed! Only my HR is properly geared though, the GWF and DC are almost there... Tempted to work on a 6th just cause I enjoy leveling but that's like having another baby when you can't even afford to feed the other 5!

If all the babies have different moms, its easier to keep them fed At least that is what tv has taught me.
I am going to run the first few missions with the GF and see if he fits my play style.

Depending on how many character slots you have. You should have them all to 16 or whatever level allows you to invoke. I have 15 slots, 14 are occupied. saving 1 for the paladin. 6 are 60's, while the rest are strictly invoking and professions, although I will soon have 8 60's. I stopped leveling the minis at mid to high teens. (Whenever they allow invoking.) They are now 30's from the invoking and profession xp.
I bought 12 character slots when they were 80zen for 2. I wish I bought more. 50 is max. Im buying this many if they ever drop that deal again. I wish I could rearrange my characters though.

The shield thing will take a bit to get used to... he does not roll like my brain thinks he will.

So Stump the GF is level 22. I used 2 scrolls so I could get from 18 -> 20... I need my polar bear. Walking is soooo slow.
I like him so far, but he makes my DC seem like a killing machine. I know he is not a damage dealer, by design, but Oh my sweet Jeebus... I don't think I kill anything. I think I simply outlive them... just waiting for age to finally take them down.
Hopefully I am picking the "right things". From being with tanks and seeing what they do from the outside, I think I am picking good stuff. I am sure to mess that up once I pick my path.
