So I came across this vid while looking up professions on youtube. I followed it (NOT my vid, gah the music!!), and it worked like a charm. I have almost all 7 of my character's speed bonus slots open now.

Edit: oh you don't need sound to follow it so don't be afraid to mute it

You can also take up platesmithing and ask Ice Knight politely to borrow a couple of his grandmasters for three hours. I know several people, including myself, that took him up on this offer.

Once I had the assets, each character took around 15 minutes from 0 alchemy to unlock. I paid around 5k per master alchemist, & just mailed them to the next character down the line. Best 20k I've invested yet

This may well be a silly question...
If you get to the point where you're able to run a task with a 100% speed bonus, then could you not repeatedly run that one task, over and over again using 100% speed increase? Effectively, maxing a profession in very little time, provided you have the assets to do so?

Yes you can run a task repeatedly, but I doubt that in itself aids all that much in maxing out a profession. You are essentially getting any one task completed in half the normal amount of time. Great for crafting stuff for guild mates though..

I see, so 100% speed bonus is essentially 50% of the total actual time.
Even so, great topic. I'll be getting the slot tonight!
Thanks guys.
