i looked up a guide for my GWF and it said the best companions to use were these,
1. augment 2. erinyes of belial 3. yeti/cambion magnus 4. blink dog/air archon 5. fire archon
now i cant find 1, 2, or cambion magnus in ah and was wondering how to go about getting them

The most common augment companions would be the Ion stones. Allure is 1600 Zen and has a 7% chance to slow targets. (I have the Allure. It holds an neck, ring and icon. The neck and rung can be personalized, so have 2 enchantment slots.) There is one for 1000 that does some deflect and life steal. It does not look great too me. The other is 3000 Zen and boosts XP by 10%. (It would be waaaayyy cheaper to get a cheap, level 60 artifact belt and toss in an azure enchantment.)
The other very popular one is the Cat. (I want this one.). It does neck, waist and ring, so all can be dual slotted with jewelcrafting personalization. (I believe.)
The difference between the augments and other companions is that their stats boost you directly. If you add 100 power point enchant to an augment, you get 100 power, as long as the augment is summoned. They do not interact with the world, so will not upset the locals as you try to sneak by (like my honeybadger does.)
(Sick... if I missed something, please make fun of me. Or correct me. Or both.)

The ideal stone would be the ones with 3 offense slots, and as many rings slots as possible. The one I use is green,(cant remember the name, the one that boosts stamina regen.) in mod 5 green was terrible as you couldnt unlock the last equipment slot, but now with mod 6 you can as they raised the level cap for each rarity(greens capped at 20, unlocked last equipment slot at 25.). Ive heard that there is others that their are better stone options, but the one I use is easy to obtain.
At the same time, From what Ive been informed about recently that if you have bonding runestones a run around companion is now something viable. So you could go with that. The stones active bonus arent all that well.
The cat(augment) is a great choice, As it has nice Offensive slots and sch, It also use to help your crit and such. Im sure if this was a hidden bonus or what, but now it has a bit of deflection and weakens fall damage. Possibly the whole cat helping with crit and such was just something I seen, not at all accurate.
Instead of wasting your AD on all 5 companions now, get a stone/main companion and the lostmauth set at all cost, that set basically doubles your crit severity. Not saying companions arent helpful, just lostmauth is a must.

The cat is the best companion, for any dps cause of cat prowess. This gives at blue 222 crit and 222 recovery every 10 seconds. It never goes away. At legendary it goes up to like 375 on each then at top level it something around 500 on each not sure never had enough ad to take it to the max lol. Once we get the mod that we can put armor kits on are companions you gonna get something like 800 power, 500 crit , with the cat that will be a extra 1000 crit lol...insane right..but if you have 680 k with the vip you can buy it.

I see, The added bonus I was thinking of wasnt the active bonus. I guess I should have read on further. I was holding off buying it because I thought they changed it. Thank you for the info.

Yep as Slayer mentioned the Cat is one of best Companions for any character, you can also put 3 personalized items on it as well as 2 Offence Slots and a Defence slot. The Defence slot can be used to give you even more of the Cats stats, so in essence it sends over 100% of its stats from equipment and runes, then you can increase that even more.

For my TR I go with red dragon ioun stone, dancing blade, armored Orc wolf, air archon and Erinyes of belial.

The best dps stone for sure, but radiance is a much cheaper good choice. active bonus on the black dragon is better and the stats are much better at epic opposed to uncommon. If you have no issue with the price, for sure go with black dragon. in my opinion.

Also, the Erinyes comes from the Scourge Warlock Pack. The Erinyes increases your Crit Severity. Another option would be the Dancing Blade from the Wonderous Bazaar.
