Not sure I have any good advice, and I had been gearing up at 60 for months, but... I would not worry about the gear too much yet. Generally, if it says recommended, just go with it. It will all get replaced when you hit 70. I never ran it before getting to 70, but the normal Spider dungeon seems to drop a lot of blue items. It is nice and quick and good to pug, or run with guildies, since it counts for the daily dungeon. If you want to not keep changing gear every level, I think the eternal gear levels with you as does the ensorcelled off hand, main hand and cloak. These cost AD. I have not done anything with them, but I loved the Dragon Bone stuff per mod 6, so I am guessing these are the same-ish. If I am wrong, which is highly probable, someone will correct me. What I would do, for the grind... get the biggest azure enchants you can afford, and stick them in everything that takes a utility enchant - hat, arms and boots. If you cans afford a cheap level 60 artifact belt and cloak, grab those too. They both start with only utility slots. If it was me, I would not even care of they were speced properly for my class - I would just want the extra 10-20% XP. (Did the grid once, don't think I can do it again until double XP. I did 1 vigilance quest on my alt last night, shivered, weeped a bit, then went back to my main.) If they are suited for your class, I would only try getting them to blue. You will pickup a ton of green items that can be fed to them as you move towards 70.

I meant while you were playing. Simultaneously. It can get very mind numbing.

yeah rwan wrapped the gameplay help up nicely, So I thought I'd go outside the box.
Although I would advise avoiding the encounter quests. Or atleast I did, it seemed people rarely did them and I couldnt solo them. They were just taking up one of the four quests you can take.

A few ideas:
If you still have quests to do in areas like Whispering Canyon and Rothe Valley, it's worth doing them for XP.
At 61, you will start the Seed and then the Vigilance Quests. You will receive equipment pieces as rewards and drops as you do them that will be more than adequate to get you to 70.
Check - and keep checking - the Guild Bank for Ensorcelled Weapons for your class. These level up with you, and are good even at Level 70 - better than your new artifact weapons you get at 70 (until you make them purple).
If you haven't started professions, JewelCrafting is a good one because you can make personalized rings that are considered Best in Slot.
Have fun!

For jewelcrafting, just do the collecting and the gems to get XP. Don't waste the residiumm.

Yeah I had 5 Rank 7 Azures totalling +55% extra exp in my equipment, then I had VIP for extra exp and it still takes aaaaaaaaages to go from level 60 to 70.
I would also suggest if you have a little Zen, hope for a 15% off anything voucher from the Zen store when you are level 68, then buy the small exp boost from the Zen Store. This massively speeds things up as Level 68-70 is actually quite long.

Out of curiosity, did you mistakenly type just hit 60? The reason I ask is I was helping you last week when you were 64. Did you intend to type, just hit 70? If so, disregard the responses so far....lol.
