I have heard a rumour that the prices to upgrade them are possibly coming down, a couple of people have mentioned it on the Arc forum.

Nice! I've thought about upgrading my stone and earth archon to epic as they only epic I have right now is a water archon that came purple out of a lockbox. The air and fire archons are just there for stacks and I'm not likely to upgrade either any time soon.

The price is crazy. When you think most of the companions cost less to buy at higher raritys.
Especially when the upgrade isnt all that great, outside of your summoned companion.
Even with price drops, besides my main companion, I dont think I have any interest in upgrading them anyways. Unless the price is really really cheap.
