So I've gone back to the HR for some quests, she's 46 right now and I hope to have her up to 60 by the weekend.
It's so damned hard to play though, switching out between Melee and Ranged every 5 seconds.
Firstly, I don't wanna put this on Gamefaqs because all the dweebs will start throwing GS and Damage charts at me so I'm gonna ask here....
I could do with a good build to spec to once I hit 60 and secondly what's the power cycle? As in with Lionel I know what to cast in a specific order, what's the setup for a HR?
I know I have been getting smashed by cultists in Never-death doing the dailies it's embarrassing lol
I know James and a few others here have powerful HRs so please discuss.

I`m only the 2nd best HR in the village so I`ll opt out of this one Possibly 3rd or 4th lol.

I think I am the 5th best HR in the guild so you're okay Rydia :-)
However, there are only 5 HRs that run on a regular basis...........

It`s always good to have a couple of HR`s spamming Fox`s Cunning for those extra dodges lol. Plus you use different skills than me so it works well

James,
Fox's Cunning / Shift... I don't fancy it too much. What exactly does it do, I was thinking of leaving the Weak Grasping roots encounter in it's place? (the one with 3 charges)

Dude the HR is all about Fox`s Cunning and Fox`s Shift... its easily their best most powerful power by a mile. FC is a free dodge to the entire team (when a HR is used properly you can spam this every 2-3 seconds maybe quicker). Fox`s Shift hits like a truck multiple times to multiple enemies and you are invincible whilst in motion, can also be spammed every 2-3 seconds maybe a bit quicker.

Yep. You know when Villithrax pops those hands up outta the ground? Fox's Shift can carry you through unscathed.

Just to update this.
Paris hit 60 yesterday, I ran like the wind and have the T1 stuff.. I'm now looking to run the T2 stages to get my gear, anyone who would be willing to help out, cool.
James, I tried to message you in Guild chat yesterday but it's so full of spam.. I'd like if you would run something with me, let me know how I have done building, I followed your thread but switched to Stormwarden.
BTW Fox's Shift last night in the Frozen Heart.... "I told ya Hrimnir... U Can't Touch Dis... "

Yo Fluke, I did get your message and responded but I was running with Nippage and Lasher doing dailies last night, I did not get a chance to do them in the morning A lot of people follow my build and then switch to SW, I have no idea why people think that is more damaging or whatever but if you have switched to Storm Warden I cant really give too much input on your build dude as its a completely different path from mine

Well, I followed your build and amended it slightly when going SW. Interesting results, damage-wise it seems ok. Running with 10.5k GS atm and hitting around 10-12 mil. It's still in the making!

Oh yeah duderino it still hits like a truck ha ha lol I`m not sure but on paper it seems like SW may be higher DPS than Pathfinder but I cant find anywhere that someone has actually compared the 2 etc. A lot of people on Gamefaq`s claim SW hits higher numbers but then do not actually back it up with any evidence. Each to their own and you should find a build that suits you, everyone plays slightly differently so what works for one may not work for another etc

Yup, I have to say a Thanks though because I made the HR on the back of Rydia's impressive performances and it's great fun, sorry Lionel but it's just much more fun than playing CW. I find it awkward and slow going back on to Lionel. Still, it would be nice to get a run or 2 in with Rydia. I can think of no better way to test Paris than to see if she can keep up with you! Haha.

Don't bother trying to keep up; it's way more fun to occasionally beat him. I only wish I hadn't found so many British friends for him to play with, I don't get to run around with him as much..

Ha ha lol I`ve always got time for you guys I`ve been trying to get a few runs with people I`ve not played with yet or much lately. But yeah Fluke I`ll have a couple of runs with you later, I`ve done most of my dailies today already. What I mean by Stormwarden though is people online keep saying you do more damage with Twin Blade Storm as it makes all you AOE`s hit for 12% more damage, which means only for select skills. But in order to use that Active you would need to take off Aspect of the Pack, that gives you 15% more damage with everything when an Ally is within 20 feet of you, which is just about all the time. Not only that it gives all Allies within that range the 15% extra damage, basically perm combat advantage for everyone. Then you get a combat advantage bonus from Charisma Stat, also when we get new equipment soon that will also increase combat advantage damage. Also with other classes that can increase their own and/or Allies combat advantage then that is even more DPS. So I just do not understand where people get that Twin Blade Storm would be higher DPS. Maybe if you are playing alone with no companion then yes it probably would do. The other option is to use AotP and TBS at the same time, but that would mean taking off Aspect of the Serpent which I think is a crazy idea, especially as there is a feat which increases its damage and Crit chance. I wouldn`t mind testing out Stormwarden again at some point and see what I can do with it.

Well, I don't know anything about that.. I use Aspect of the pack (switching to Solo version when... well... solo-ing!)and the Serpent one, because I have 5/5 in that paragon ability.
I can't remember my encounters names right now but hopefully we'll party up later, I do wonder if Oak Skin (The one where the roots come out of the ground around you) is worth the slot, it does heal me but only very slightly.
As I said, it's a work in progress and I'd like a bit of advice / educated opinion.

I use Oak Skin as when I am with 2 or more people using will reset all my Ranged Encounters almost instantly. If standing there with 4 Allies you can spam Fox`s Cunning and Oak Skin every couple of seconds. The beauty of Oak Skin is that it will reduce Ranged Encounter powers by 15% (if you put the points in the feat), but it will reduce by 15% per member of your party. So if you have 4 Allies it will reduce Ranged Encounters by 15% x 5. Same with Fox`s Cunning, when used with 4 Allies its 15% x 5 reduced cooldowns on your Melee Encounters. The other reason I use it is because spamming it through your rotoation means your entire team gets a perm defence buff, perm regen and healing. I`ve ended dungeons with over 1mil healing on the leaderboards before so it all adds up

I should just add that using any power with the HR that effects multiple people will reduce the opposite encounter powers by 15% per person within range. So any ranged power that effects multiple people will reduce melee encounter powers by 15% x however many Allies and any melee power that effects multiple people will reduce ranged powers by 15% x however many Allies.

Which explains why when I'm in a dungeon I can constantly cast encounters and when I'm dragon farming I'm waiting for cool downs.. I see now!
I'm gonna read through your thread again, it's possible I missed some of these tips!

Yup exactly that, when fighting Dragons with no group members or companions its worth just sitting back and spamming Aiming Shot, Binding Shot and Hindering Shot (or whatever ranged skills you have equipped). If you have Master Trapper you don't actually need to use any melee skills to trigger it, just switch stances and switch back again once Biting Snares has activated Its only worth jumping in on Dragons and using all encounters if you have 2 or more group members. With just 1 group member there are only very slight cool downs of up to 3 seconds. Can be risky to jump in then.
