Plain old heals build, with enough haste to not get kicked

I was ask once to share "my" build. Bits an pieces are from things I have read in
forums. Some is advice from other DCs. Some is me just doing what seems to make
sense for me. I do not think it is a good build exactly, but i like most of it and
it works for me.
To start, Carric is NOT a haste healer - he is a healer that can do a bit of haste.
(I am not anti bubble. My squishy CW loves the bubble.)
"Gift of Haste" is in the top path (Virtuous), the 3rd one in. Carric is built for
heals. He is Faithful, with the remaining 15 points in the top to get me 5 in "Gift
of Haste"
Notes to start with - HoT = Heal Over Time. These are the only heals that give
haste. I believe there is a feat that makes all heals HoT, but i think that is the
end one from Virtuous (something someone else said while running a dungeon.)
So, starting on the feats page
Healing Action - 5 - nice even if you don't haste. Builds a ton of action points
when you heal a group. Loved this in 5 and still do in 6.
Toughness - 3
Domain Synergy - 5 recovery is good. some DC stuff takes a while to cool down
Battlewise - 3 - threat was high in Mod 5 for me. I am not sure this is true
anymore. (The scorpions like me if I go to revive people.)
"Repurpose Souls" was broken (something someone told me or i read somewhere), may
not be now. "Initiate of the Faith" may be more worth while. Even if I respeced, I
think I would keep reduced threat. (You could drop this and buy an owl to reduce
threat as well.)
Cleanse 1 - you will spam heals, so more would be a waste (advice I read somewhere
on the internet that made sense to me)
Bountiful Fortune - 3
Faithful
Resounding Beliefs - 5
Divine Intervention - 5 - need something
Gift of the Gods - 5
Shared Burdens - 5 - splash heals... sweet
Test of Faith - 5
Agent of the Divine 1 - Gift of Faith. I love it.

Second Sight - 5 (I want to like Prophecy of Doom, not sure if I do... slow to

Sun Burst - 3 - Divinity mode is HoT, so haste, and does not throw things the CW
has grouped up. 3 quick ones. Refill with Astral seal. (Neverwinter can make this
hard to get to just 3. Sometimes it shows the animation extra or less and I fling
things all over. I try not to, except on big dudes that do not throw, or at the
spider boss - keeps the adds off me, keep the little spiders from the queen. If
getting this to 4 let me toss Lostmauth, then I would respec and add one more point
to it.)
Healer's lore 4 - I don't use it now. Extra heals if needed somewhere
Healing word - 2 - Regular is HoT, so haste. 3 quick ones, divinty mode is weak
temp HP.
Hallowed Ground - 4 - I like this one
Flame Strike - 2 - I think I would do 4 if I repec'd. When soloing, hallowed ground
really doesn't help me much. This gives a little extra dps when alone.
Chains of blazing light - 4 - great for solo.
Divine fortune - 4 - Faster divinity gain - I am using this still
Daunting Light - 4 - good damage for solo. slow to cast, so good on more stationary
things.
Sacred Flame - 3 - want to like it, but don't. I would spend points elsewhere, if
possible.
Prophecy of Doom - 4 - I keep trying to like this.
Foresight - 4 - I am not sure if this really helps. I have active right now.
Brand of the Sun - 4 - I feel like it is a waste
Bastion of Health - 4 - my main heals. Normal mode is HoT haste.
Break the Spirit - 3 - not sure on this one yet either. faster to cast
Divine Glow - 4 - HoT (regular), Heal (divinity), Buff and Debuff. Great solo, reat
in groups. (If the pally has good recovery, I use thing instead of Sun Burst since
it helps everyone. That said, for boss battles, with a pally, I default to Sun Burst
if it makes them more comfortable.)
Astral Shield - 4 - good stuff as well. use when you don't have a pally. 1 divinity
for temp HP is good too.
Light of Divinity - 2 - it sounded good, but does not heal enough, at least for me.
It is not HoT, so no auto hasting This may be altered by some feat I don't have
in Faithful, but I don't know.
There are a bunch of others I have, most just because you have to spend points to
advance up to 70 to get rank 4 unlocked. Since i was 60 for quite a while, I have
gotten extra power points that a fresh 70 will not have. I currently have 85 points.
Other general info.
Current Item Level is ~2600
I have my resistance ignored at 20% - ok for soloing most things. Solo'd Biggrin's
when my Item Level was 2300sih, I would say. Not really hard, just lots of sliding
and slooooow damage. (Lots of people solo Biggrins... I am just saying it can be
done. I hear a lot of clerics saying they can't do dailies solo. I'll say it is not
so simple below 2000 [and with no boons], but after that, it is not bad. I did it
once cuz no one was there, way to lazy to do it again.)
Damage resistance is 25%
Recharge speed - 48%
Crit chance - 23%
I have the full Lathandars set, but have the lantern equip'd. The lathandar artifact
is nice - when you drop and soulforged back up, everyone gets a HP boost (50% of
total, i think) and a buff (600 recovery, i think). Same if they pick you up. If you
don't have VIP, you also no longer get injured when you have the full set.
I am wearing the Prelate's pants and shirt
Personalized adamant ring of recovery x 2
Elven restoration gear (restoration from alliance, 132, 135)
Companions
Rat (blue) - he can be bought with seals, so that is nice.
Allure stone (blue) - I would get the green one now that it has all 3 slots
- personalized adamant ring of piercing - recovery and defense sloted
- necklace
- purple 60 icon from mod 5 - waiting on a blue one i'll make in artificing - just
lazy on that
Ghost - just cuz i liked the idea while leveling
Other than that, I think only the Book Imp is "good" for a DC- it gives 2% recharge.
Maybe get ones with power and armor pen. If threat is an issue, the Owl would be
good.

I picked Divine Oracle, but I am not sure that makes too much difference, at least
for me. I use a few of the things it gives me, but the other path may be a good too.
(I used to use Prophetic Action all the time. Hammer of Fate sounds like it may be
ok for soloing too, but I do not have that at the moment.)
When soloing, I run
x - Divine Glow
y - Daunting Light
b - Chains of Burning Light
Once in got my defense up, most things don't hurt much, so I slide in and drop
divine glow on me and them (heal, buff debuff), then drop 4 chains down. Astral seal
to recharge. Repeat as needed. Daunting light is great if the things do move all
around since it is slow to cast.
I always have Hallowed Ground equipped, though generally only use it in dungeons and
some heroic encounters.
With pallys
x - Sun Burst
y - Healing Word
b - Bastion of Health
(I don't think the level of the spell effects the haste - 1 or 4 - I think they get
the same % of action points. I have not tested this or researched it at all, but
Gift of Haste does not imply this would matter at all.)
I Astral Seal for divinity, stand by the pally, 3 divinity Sun Burst to haste,
Healing Word or Bastion of Health. More Astral Seals, more Healing Word. Sun Burst 3
times, Healing Word, Bastion, etc.
If the pally is quick on recharge, I'll swap Sun Burst out and use Divine Glow,
since it does some HoT as well as heal, buff and debuff. This helps move things
along. I feel like 2 toons dedicated to keeping a bubble up can slow things down.
(I ran spider with randoms... the OP and GF had to use the slow, laggy bubble and KV
combo to run the whole thing. I think it took twice as long as just doing the bubble
and having some DPS. 3 toons now invested in the bubble and not much else.)
Without pallys
x - Divine Glow
y - Astral Shield (99% of the time. I am trying things like Prophecy of Doom and
Break the Spirit, but I am not sure about them yet. I feel like the shield helps
alot in cases where there are melee toons mostly - up close to a mostly fixed boss.
The scorpions move to much for this to be much use, but the divine temp HP make it
tempting. If everyone is ranged and I'm at Lostmauth, I will pick Healing Word - it
is easier to heal the CW that is on the other side of the dragon after he just got
hit by the tail.)
b - Bastion of Health
A few other things.
Some do not like Astral Seal - slow cast time. I like that I fill divinity in 3
shots and I like that I get good audio cue for the 3 hits. The other ones I have to
not charge divinity as fast and the audio is not a great cue. It got a bit nerf'd -
only heals once per 4 seconds, but a free heal is a free heal.
The biggest place I am likely to run into haste issues - the scorpions. If the
pally rotates around them, I need to follow and haste them. If I miss too many times
as they move, and have to dodge fireballs, or get knocked down by them, I can get
behind. Lostmauth can sometimes get me with the same issue - invisible fireballs
tossing me around, ceiling dropping on me, etc. If I get behind on haste, the bubble
can drop. That said, the issue is the same without a pally - tossed around too
much, and I can get behind on heals.
What I am still working on - more recovery. I think just getting my enchants and
artifacts up is mostly all i am doing. Nothin major, just incremental improvements.
